The Worcester Review is published by the Worcester County Poetry Association, Inc., a nonprofit organization. We collect as little personal information as a website can while still selling you a literary magazine, and we do not run advertising, use third-party trackers, or sell or share your information with anyone for marketing purposes. This page explains what we do collect, and why.
When you order an issue
When you purchase an issue through our site, we collect the information needed to fulfill your order: your name, email address, billing and shipping address, and the details of what you ordered. Payment itself is handled by our payment processor — your card number goes directly to them and is never seen or stored by us or our website.
We keep order records as long as we are required to for accounting and tax purposes. We use your email address to send you order confirmations and to contact you if something comes up with your order — not to send you marketing, unless you have separately asked to hear from us.
Cookies
Our store uses cookies for one homely purpose: remembering what is in your cart while you browse. These cookies contain no personal information. If you have an account and log in, a cookie keeps you logged in for the duration of your session. Editors and site administrators receive similar login cookies.
When you write to us
If you email the editors — about a submission, a subscription, or anything else — we will have your email address and whatever you chose to tell us. We use it to reply. Submissions are handled under the terms described on our Submit page.
Embedded content
Occasionally an article on this site may embed content from another website (a video, for example). Embedded content behaves exactly as if you had visited that website directly, and that site may collect data about you according to its own privacy policy.
Your information, your rights
You may ask us at any time what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — except for records we are legally required to keep, such as completed order records. Write to us at the email address in the footer of this site and we will take care of it.
